CNRED implements together with other European ENIC / NARIC centers the DEQAR CONNECT project

The Ministry of Education and Research, through the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED), has become a partner in the European project Enhancing the Coverage and Connectivity of QA in the EHEA through DEQAR (DEQAR CONNECT), funded by Erasmus PLUS, a project for ENIC/NARIC networks of national recognition centers and Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.

Memorandum on mutual recognition of diplomas issued by higher education institutions in Romania and China was approved

The government approved at its meeting on Thursday, 21th of May 2020, the Memorandum between the Ministry of Education and Research and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China on the mutual recognition of diplomas and certificates in higher education. The objective of the Memorandum is to facilitate the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and periods of study in higher education, in order to continue their studies in higher education institutions in Romania and China. Thus, the diplomas issued by higher education institutions - universities, study academies, research institutes, higher education schools - accredited according to Romanian legislation and the diplomas and certificates issued by higher education institutions and research institutes in the People's Republic will be recognized China.

Romania obtains automatic recognition of generalist nurses' diplomas, issued prior to the date of accession to the European Union

The European Commission published on May 11, 2020 the report by which the diplomas of generalist nurse issued by Romanian educational institutions, issued before the date of accession to the European Union, will benefit from automatic recognition in the Member States of the European Union with the amendment of Directive 2005/36/EC.

The program with the public is suspended

The National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas suspends the program with the public. The requests are sent as follows: - recognition files for access to the labor market: through Romanian Post or courier services, - recognition / equivalence files for continuation of studies: through County School Inspectorates, higher education institutions, Romanian Post or courier services, - files for authentication of education documents: exclusively through the electronic Point of Single Contact (PCUe), - any other request through Romanian Post or courier services. The issuance of all the documents issued by CNRED is done, upon request, by mail or courier services. Any useful information can be requested by e-mail or by calling 021.405.56.59 or 021.405.56.45

Withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union - BREXIT

On June 23, 2016, citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland decided by referendum to exit the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU). Following this vote, the British Government initiated the withdrawal process on March 29, 2017, by activating Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union. In October 2019, EU leaders 27 and the British side reached a political consensus on the UK's withdrawal agreement. It was subsequently approved by the British authorities and the EU and entered into force on 1 February 2020. The agreement allows the United Kingdom to exit the European Union in an orderly and predictable manner. At the same time, it establishes a transitional period from 1 February 2020 to 31 December 2020.

35 years of existence of the NARIC network, 25 years of the ENIC network and 15 years for the Network Charter

The member centers of the NARIC networks met on 29th of November in Brussels, at the annual meeting organized by the European Commission, with the support of the European Council and UNESCO. The meeting marked the 35th anniversary of the date of setting up the NARIC network, 25 years from the date of the establishment of the ENIC network and 15 years from the date of adoption of the Network Charter, during which were presented the most important moments and actions initiated and implemented for recognition of studies, in conjunction with future projects focused on academic mobility and internationalization of higher education.

Relocation of refugees in the context of European and national policies on migration and asylum

Today, 27th of November, the representatives of CNRED participated in the meeting dedicated to the relocation of refugees on the territory of Romania, organized in Bucharest by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) - the Romanian Office, together with the Shottener Foundation and with the support of the General Inspectorate for Immigration.
