On September 24, 2019, the representatives of CNRED participated in the thematic meeting dedicated to the access to education of refugees on the territory of Romania, organized in Bucharest by the National Council for Refugees in Romania.
The contribution of CNRED to the event was aimed at presenting the modalities of recognition of studies for access to higher education in Romania, in the context of the topics debated on this occasion: The current legislative framework regarding the social integration of foreigners who have acquired a form of protection or right of residence. in Romania, as well as the citizens of the member states of the European Union and the European Economic Area; Learning the Romanian language; Enrollment and continuation of studies in primary, secondary and higher education.
The exchange of good practices underlined that the new legislative proposals improve the current conditions and facilitate the continuation of the studies, the collaboration between the state authorities and NGOs constituting in the future an essential element of the easy and efficient integration of these categories of persons.
