Representatives of CNRED participated, on 20-21 of April, at the 5th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) – Working Group on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education, organized by the National Qualifications Agency of Malaysia.
The Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), where Romania is a member since 2015, is an intergovernmental forum for dialogue and cooperation in an equal partnership between the two regions, which includes 28 EU member states, 2 non-EU member states and 21 countries from Asia.
The Working Group brought together representatives of the ASEM member states interested in identifying and developing concrete ways of cooperation, having as main pillars the construction of an electronic cooperation portal - http://www.aniccw.net (officially launched in July 2015), the development of a good practice manual on the recognition of qualifications in Higher Education in the two regions, as well as the establishment of a cross-border quality assurance network in Higher Education.
During this meeting, the Working Group on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education agreed an action plan to be presented at the 6th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEMME6) of the Ministers of Education on 21-22 of November in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
