The National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) participated as a partner, on September 20, 2022, in Riga, Latvia, at the final conference organized within the QUATREC 2 project - "Comparing the qualifications for a fair recognition".
The conference with the theme "Strengthening the role of learning results in qualifying assessment" brought together experts in the field of higher education, representing ENIC-NIRIC centers, agents for quality assurance, European Union of Students, but also employers.
The Ministry of Education was represented by CNRED, the Romanian ENIC-NARIC Center, and the Western University of Timisoara, through the director of the Department for Quality Management.
During the event, topics were discussed such as the impact of using the learning results in the future education, the importance of using the learning results in the classification of European occupations - ESCO and in qualifyications assessment; the recommendations for formulating and comparing the learning outcomes in terms of recognition resulting from the activities of the QUATREC 2 project. The Western University of Timisoara presented its own model regarding the use of learning outcomes to define the study programs.

The Ministry of Education, through the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) has become a partner in the European project "Comparison of qualifications for equitable recognition 2 (QUATREC 2)" funded by the Erasmus+program, Action 3, project for members of the network of national ENIC/NARIC recognition centers.
The coordinator of this project is the National Recognition Center in Latvia. The project was implemented since June 2020 and ends in September 2022. In this project, six ENIC-NARIC centers participated, respectively the centers in Latvia, Romania, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Armenia.
The purpose of the project "Comparison of qualifications for equitable recognition 2 (QUATREC 2)" is to facilitate the use of learning outcomes in the evaluation of diplomas issued by higher education institutions for equitable recognition by employers. Another objective of the project is to elaborate and pilot a methodology for using the learning results, following the conclusions and recommendations in the first project.
