The Ministry of Education and Research, through the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED), has become a partner in the European project "Comparing qualifications for a fair recognition 2 (QUATREC 2)", funded by Erasmus+, action 3, project for members of the ENIC/NARIC network of national recognition centers.
The coordinator of this project is the Latvian National Recognition Center. The project has been implemented since June 2020 and will end in May 2022. This project involves six ENIC/NARIC centers, respectively the centers in Latvia, Romania, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Armenia.
The aim of the project "Comparing Qualifications for Equitable Recognition 2 (QUATREC 2)" is to facilitate the use of learning outcomes in the assessment of diplomas issued by higher education institutions for equitable recognition by employers. Another objective of the project is to develop and pilot a methodology for using learning outcomes, following the conclusions and recommendations of the first project.
The QUATREC project (2018-2020) aimed to encourage the use of learning outcomes in the process of assessing diplomas to improve their recognition, in line with current trends. The aim was to compare qualifications and learning outcomes horizontally and to identify whether learning outcomes for qualifications of the same level are comparable. More details about the project can be found here.
CNRED will collaborate, in the implementation of this project, with the specialized departments within the Ministry of Education and Research and with the higher education institutions in Romania, in order to facilitate the recognition abroad of the diplomas of our graduates and, implicitly, to promote Romanian higher education.
