During the transition period, until the 31st December 2020, the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications held by British citizens and their family members is done according to the same procedure applicable to UE citizens, according to the specific European and national regulations.

British citizens and their family members have the same rights as the citizens from a EU member state and their family members to study and work in Romania, rights which derive from the EU legislation on free movement of persons.

At the end of the transition period, the academic and professional recognition will be done according to the legislation applicable to third country nationals, following the recommendations of the Lisbon Convention and other regulations on the matter.

To benefit from the advantages of the transition period, we recommend British citizens and their family members to submit their applications for the recognition of their studies!
